Langridge Oil Paints are a Australian made professional artists' oil paint. Colours are intensely bright, clean and produce wonderful colour mixes.
Langridge paints consist of pigment and linseed oil only. They are void of modifiers, opacifiers, fillers and other unwanted adulterants all of which interfere with the integrity of the paint - its brightness, clarity & archival quality.
Because the colours are adulterant free colours can feel & behave quite differently from one another. Some colours will be soft, buttery & brush out easily while others are stiffer, sticky or clotted.
Langridge mediums can be used to change the consistency of oil paint, rendering it more convenient for brushing or applying, or more suitable for the artists’ particular technique. Langridge Oil mediums can assist the artist to create paint that is thicker or thinner, faster or slower drying, more transparent or opaque. Glazes can be added to paint to create thin, but permanent, veils of paint. The resin content creates optical depth similar to a colour varnish.
